Breast sagging is one of the many natural body changes women experience as they age, but when it occurs at an early age, it can be due to bad habits. Scientifically, the sagging of breasts is called breast ptosis. Our breasts are made up of fat and tissues. There’s also Cooper’s ligament that’s responsible to lift your breasts! If it stretches and starts to lose its elasticity, then your breasts become droopy and deflated
In this article, we’ll be discussing some habits that cause early sagging of breasts in women. Note that all findings in this article are gotten from a reputable health site WebMD.
Habit 1: Lack of exercise and improper support while exercising
Lack of exercise means less chest muscles, which means less support for your breasts. Improper support while exercising in the form of a sports bra, especially for women with large breasts, will cause breasts to sag. This holds especially true for women who run a lot, as the constant up and down motion pulls and stretches the skin.
Habit 2: Not using sunscreen
According to Verywell Health, sunblock is always important when spending a good amount of time outdoors, so the same definitely goes for your breasts. Lathering the boobs up with sunscreen can prevent your breast skin from becoming dehydrated, damaged, and, eventually saggy.
Habit 3: Bad sleeping posture
According to Mayoclinic, experts have indicated that sleep can affect breast aesthetics. It can be tough to control how you sleep – since you’re asleep at the time. But your sleeping position at night might impact how perky your bust looks by day. Bad news if you’re a side sleeper or a stomach sleeper: over time, those positions can affect the shape of your breasts. Sleeping on your stomach compresses your breasts into the mattress and can prevent healthy blood flow to the area, while sleeping on one side can cause the ligaments and tissue to stretch unevenly as gravity pulls the breasts down further on that side.
