An individual may have a low sperm count if the semen he ejaculates during intercourse contains fewer sperm than normal. Oligospermia is the medical name for a low sperm count, and azoospermia is the lack of sperm.
According to Mayo Clinic, if you have fewer sperm less than 15 million per milliliter of semen, it is considered a low sperm count. One of the major symptoms of a low sperm count is the inability to conceive a child.
Problems with sexual function, pain, swelling or a lump around the testicle area, and decreased body or facial hair are some other symptoms of a low sperm count in most men.
What are common things men do every day that lower their sperm count?
